You can buy the gadget from any authorized dealers countrywide. In Lamu check with the MPesa point in Lamu town next to the palace hotel.

Internet Cyber Cafes
There are a number of Cyber cafes operating in Lamu. The one with the most reliable and faster internet connection is at Mahrus building 1 st flr. External drives such as Flash disks are allowed in most Cyber cafes. Printing is available at Ksh 30.00/- per page. Most places charge Ksh 2.00/- per minute for internet usage.
Peponi Hotel – Wireless
For faster and reliable connection you can consider Peponi hotel. You can use your own Laptop. Peponi computer USB ports is Disabled. Charges is Ksh 300/- per half an hour which is Ksh 10/- per minute.
You can read daily news papers as from 3:00 PM everyday. Papers arrive quite late in Lamu. Check with AMANI book shop next to the Lamu Fort for Nation , Standard, East African press and Magazines. If you come through Lamu Holiday Solutions we can deliver to your hotel reception for Free.
Other means of getting news is through Nation Media, Citizen, Kbc, Al-jaazira, CNN and BBC. Only Palace hotel has rooms with TV in the room.
